Story: Anandi's Rainbow

Anandi was fast asleep, dreaming of rainbows while it was raining outside. When she woke up and looked out of her window, she saw a huge, bright rainbow across a clear blue sky.

Excitedly, she ran out to the garden with her favourite cat, Milli. Since Anandi loved to draw and paint, she decided to paint the flowers in her garden using the vibrant colours of the rainbow.

Painting the Garden

  • She painted one flower with violet.
  • She painted another flower with indigo.
  • She used blue for another flower, and green for the leaves.
  • She used orange and red for other flowers.
  • She left the yellow colour untouched so that the Sun would look bright and gay.

In the end, the garden was filled with beautiful, colourful flowers, and the Sun shone in its yellow glory. With its job done, the rainbow disappeared.
