9.5 Reading the Clock (Gargi's Day)

We tell time by looking at the position of the short hand (hour hand) and the long hand (minute hand) on a clock face.

9.6 Knowing Directions

Directions help us navigate and locate places relative to our position.

The Four Cardinal Directions

  • East: The direction facing the rising sun.
  • West: The direction to your back when facing East.
  • North: The direction to your left when facing East.
  • South: The direction to your right when facing East.

Using a Compass

A Compass is a tool used for finding directions, marked with North (N), South (S), East (E), and West (W).
